Our Mining team has a long-term opportunity for an Underground Mine Geologist to join our highly engaged mine geology team within our Leonora Operations in Western Australia. You will be truly valued for your effective gathering and accurate communication of geological data for mine planning and ore extraction.

The opportunity:
Perform accurate and detailed geological and structural, underground mapping (ore and waste headings) and underground sampling
Perform stope inspections
Minimise waste dilution through daily ROM inspections
Daily production reporting to deliver optimum tonnage and grade estimation
Perform critical daily review of Geology Head Grade with reference to Mill Recovered Data, Grab and Batch Sample data distributions and daily geological inspections of the ROMs and Underground
Accept responsibility for any drill hole logged and carry out QAQC validation of the drill hole before incorporation into Datashed
Engage with the ROM haulage contractor and drilling contractor with support from your leaders
Further develop your understanding of the reconciliation process through EOM Reconciliations and Stope Reconciliations
Participate in the design and coordination of diamond drilling activities

What we will expect from you:
Degree qualified in a Geology / Geological Science discipline.
Experienced working with different deposits and rock types.
Ideally have Underground Mining Experience.
An effective team player
Enthusiastic about complex geology and develop professionally.
Keen to contribute, work on multiple tasks and deliver results.

This opportunity is a permanent, FIFO role on a balanced 8 days on, 6 days off, roster cycle, flying on company time to and from Perth. You also have the option to DIDO from Kalgoorlie.
